Risk Management
Risks associated with construction and installation activities pose considerable issues for project programme and planning. Whilst current sequencing solutions are based upon idealised scenarios, there is no firm process or solution to deal with variations to the programme, reacting to and addressing issues as they happen.
Having the ability to aggregate data sources to support detailed analysis of sequential activities, whilst also having the ability to visualise constraints and impacts caused by other activities provides a powerful and predictive insight to project activities.
Solution
Our solution has been developed to visualise, analyse and resolve the inherent issues which impede traditional methods.
Our solution focusses on dynamic analysis of the live engineering data to enable the automation of structuring non structured data. From this we are able to aggregate the various data sources to provide visibly of potential issues long before they become critical. This is a vital aspect of the solutions success as current methods only have realisation of delay and impact as they occur.
Forecasting outputs enable management, mitigation and reduction prior to an event occurring. Being able to implement the Last Planner concept of workable backlog allows contractors efforts to be moved to other areas in response to problems arising with their planned activities.
Benefits
Integrating structured data into a single project information management tool to mitigate the restrictions with traditional tools we are able to leverage the following benefits:
- Visualise and identify issues, risks and hot spots
- Generate useable outputs in 3D
- Manage access, laydown and temporary works activities
- Structure and aggregate existing data, improving interoperability
- Dynamically analyse logistics activities
- Optioneering and response to unplanned changes
- Logistics and temporary works overlay
